Prayer time rule adopted by majority of the mosques in Norway
Until recently (2011), there is no problem (or contradiction) on the rule to determine the sunrise, noon (Duhr), and sunset (Maghrib). However, for Fajr/Subh, Asr, and Isha, it is indeed big contradiction. How is it usually applied by majority of the mosques in Norway? Please observe the following table.
|Fajr||90 minutes before sunrise|
|Asr||middle time between Duhr and Maghrib|
|Isha||90 minutes after sunset (Maghrib)|
As you can see, the above rules are applied throughout the year. There is no single Islamic world leading bodies throughout the world apply such convention and moreover even the Islamic Law also do not specify as such. Why they do not follow any of these, can be found here.
